The St. Jude Archery Tournament is a result of Melissa Hamm and her son, Chase, a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital being asked to hold an archery event that would benefit the hospital. Given that Melissa and Chase had both learned the sport and were avid shooters as well as vocal supporters of St. Jude, it just made sense they would take on something like an archery tournament.
Though not officially sanctioned by the National Field Archery Association this year’s tournament will follow the same rules as set down by the NFAA for a sanctioned event.
The divisions for this tournament are Freestyle, Compound and Recurve.
The schedule for this event allows for fun shoots both Saturday and Sunday. If someone in your party does not have a bow of their own, they can rent one from the host, Everything Archery for a fee of $27.90.
On-site parking is limited; however, ample parking is available on the street in front of the event location.
